KAM, which was held for the 10th time in 2018, has been held for the very last time in the Heisei period. The environment surrounding art in Japan has been struck by various changes in the past 10 years, and it is impossible not to feel that the time has come for us to reconsider the very notion of an art fair itself. We would like to have an eye on the era that is arriving, and stride confidently into the future while embracing innovative ideas without being held back by the status quo.
KAM started in 2009 in the city of Kobe - an exotic location wrapped in the embrace of both the mountains and the sea. KAM celebrated its 10th exhibition in last year in 2018.
However, this year in 2019, KAM will take a new step forward with the 11th annual event and we will launch the first "all room solo exhibition". We hope that you can join us in enjoying the powerful impact of the exhibitions as well as taking in the unique hospitality of KAM at the Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel this year.
