Naoko Matsuura have joined KOBE ART MARCHÉ since 2014. An old paper hanger introduced her to me. I heard that she had worked under the paper hanger when she had been a university student, and I could easily understand it after watching her works. There are so many ancient paintings to be repaired at the paper hanger. While she was working there, she might have investigated the depth of colors, atmosphere, and how to use space. Her works make use of them.
