Born in Kyoto in 1952. Graduated from Kyoto Seika University. He creates dye art that uses lacquer at his own dye works "Karin". Now, as a freelance, he creates art works that make use of dyeing widely from kimono to general merchandise. From representational paintings to abstract ones, his paintings that are painted by the technique of Japanese painting have many fans abroad.
