I take pictures, then choose motifs from within them.
"Tooi Umi no Koe" was based on a photo taken by chance,
the characters' poses of which I noticed resemble those in Millet's "the Angelus."
I really felt then that my works are influenced by all sorts of other images.
I painted "You can be somebody" from scenery I actually saw,
but I felt like the photo I based it on looked more like something from a movie or a game.
Through landscape paintings, we can see modern people's view of nature.
I hope I can express that view of nature in my work.
