"坂本　明三郎 Meisaburou Sakamoto" "Born on May 8th, 1964 in Ehime.
Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University, Industrial Desing Major.
After resigned Sharp Corporation, opened Tsuchizougama.
Mainly creates incense burners on the subject of mechanical things, Japanese classics, and animals. The theme is ""surprise and joy"", and to create works I use the technique of forming with coils by hand-forming.
The technique I use is same as the ones used in the Jomon Era. The first material that ancient people could form freely was clay. Ibn the transient and ephemeral world at that time, clay changed into ""the only thing that could leave to future"" by baking.
I'm happy if you feel the same feeling and tenacity that they placed in ""Yakimono"" from my works."
